The national information centres of academic mobility of 13 European countries, including Ukraine, and 3 European educational and student organizations joined their expertise in the I-AR project and continue working for reaching the automatic recognition of qualifications in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), which has become a priority of education development in the world of growing globalization and academic mobility.

The project aims at analyzing and developing national policy for automatic recognition of qualifications, capacity building of ministries of education, national ENIC-NARIC centers, higher education institutions and other competent authorities to achieve the project goals and providing for comparable higher education qualifications obtained in one EHEA country to be automatically recognized in other countries for access to further education and labor market.

The experts will analyze the impact of the Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education, adopted in 2019, on the implementation of automatic recognition in the EHEA region. Special attention shall be paid to activities that will help strengthening the cooperation between the national ENIC-NARIC centers and higher education institutions, updating resources, developing recommendations and improving information provision for fair and automatic recognition.

The dialogue with higher education institutions for achieving common understanding of the concept and principles of automatic recognition, seminars, policy development and support in the implementation of automatic recognition in the national context are as well the important part of the project.

The project partners join their expertise to create the resources that shall assist the competent authorities and educational institutions in understanding and comparing the qualifications of different EHEA countries. These are two important instruments such as the set of qualifications` tables for the EHEA education systems, and the second edition of the European Guidance on Recognition for the European Region (EAR). These information resources will facilitate the effective and consistent implementation of automatic recognition in different national contexts.
