The meeting with guests from CIMEA Italy

Delegation of Information Centre of Academic Mobility and Equivalence (Italy – CIMEA) leaded by the Deputy Director of the Centre - Chiara Finocchietti, visited ENIC Ukraine Centre on 4–5 May 2017. Both Centres are members of the international ENIC network - European National Information Centers of Academic Mobility.
The purpose of the visit was to exchange experience in the recognition of educational documents, explaining the peculiarities of Ukrainian and Italian educational systems, and terminate officially SCAN-D2 project.
The aim of SCAN-D2 is to collect samples of national educational documents from the higher educational institutions of 10 participant countries: Armenia, Austria, Estonia, France, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Romania and Ukraine. The process was coordinated by the National Information Centers of Academic Mobility and Recognition, which are members of the international ENIC-NARIC network. In Ukraine the project was implemented by the National Information Centre of Academic Mobility (ENIC Ukraine), the functions of which are performed by the state-owned company "Information and Image Centre" of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The project was implemented with the help of European Commission under “Erasmus +” programme.
Experts of ENIC Ukraine ran a presentation, which provided insight into the educational system of Ukraine, and answered questions of guests from Italy. In turn, the experts of the CIMEA Centre told about peculiarities of Italy education system. The parties have also discussed current issues considering recognition of foreign documents, including those from unrecognized territories.
The team of the ENIC Ukraine Centre is grateful to the Italy Information Centre of Academic Mobility and Equivalence - CIMEA for the opportunity to participate in the international project SCAN-D2. Moreover, possibilities for further cooperation and participation of Ukraine in the future international projects were discussed.
Such meetings promote better understanding of educational system structure and simplify procedures of the mutual recognition of educational documents.
